Biography
Dave's entrepreneurial journey began during his college years, where he first developed a passion for innovation. While pursuing his education, he started several online businesses, including an online book exchange for textbooks and an e-commerce platform.
Dave graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors from Brigham Young University, where he was an Edwin S. Hinckley Scholar and Humane Studies Fellow. He completed internships at the Federal Reserve and the Federal Judicial Center.
He received his Juris Doctorate from UCLA, where he was the co-founder and president of the UCLA Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He took several classes in finance, including at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
He has served as a Governing Board Member of the Irvine Valley College Foundation and as an Associate Director at Wescom Credit Union. He co-chaired Astounding Inventions, which is a product invention competition involving more than 4,000 students. While co-chairing Astounding Inventions, Mr. Martin helped many students receive free patents from one of the nation's leading IP firms.
Dave started a law firm specializing in employment law for businesses on March 17, 2020. Starting without any employees or outside help, he built the firm into a thriving, multi-million-dollar enterprise in less than five years. Dave understands all aspects of running a business, from marketing and sales to accounting and finance.
Dave is deeply committed to giving back and helping students turn their ideas into reality. He understands young entrepreneurs' challenges and is passionate about providing resources and mentorship to help them succeed without putting their dreams on hold.
Dave lives in Hyde Park with his family of four. He enjoys running and competing in triathlons. He is proud to be part of Cache Valley’s rich tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship. Through his efforts, he aims to support and grow this legacy, empowering the next generation of students and entrepreneurs.
